We’ve already been doing this for nearly two decades in our work as founders and as VCs at Kleiner Perkins, where we helped companies create the world’s most efficient fuel cells, the most power-efficient chips, and the most capable drones.

Now, as Matter, we’re solely focused on building the next generation of HardTech startups developing the technologies that matter most, in the world we actually live in.

Meaghan O’NeillInvestor

Prior to joining Matter, Meaghan served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman and Managing Partner at UP.Partners, where she focused on capital formation, firm operating strategy, and portfolio support. Before that, she spent several years at DoorDash, first spearheading COVID-era special projects for Dashers and then driving the commercialization strategy for DoorDash Labs, DoorDash’s robotics and automation arm.

Meaghan graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Computer Science and minors in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, and Robotics. She began her formal career consulting for Fortune 50 healthcare companies, but over the years has also worked as a violin teacher, au pair, SAT tutor, and snowboard instructor.

Meaghan is based in San Francisco and spends time in Salt Lake City when she can. She loves the mountains and water, and their accompanying snow, dirt, and sand.
