Mike Ichiriu is a technology operator and investor with 30 years of experience across semiconductors, systems, enterprise software, and cybersecurity.
Mike was one of the first employees at NetLogic Microsystems, where he helped take the company from pre-revenue through its IPO and $3.7B acquisition by Broadcom. As VP of Systems and Applications Engineering, he drove the adoption of NetLogic’s ternary content-addressable memory (TCAM) products at Cisco, a pivotal program that propelled the company’s early growth. As General Manager of the Layer 7 business unit, he built a business around deep packet inspection co-processors adopted by leading firewall and IDS/IPS vendors. He later helped commercialize Remotium’s secure enterprise mobility platform before its acquisition by Avast, then led Avast’s virtual mobile infrastructure business. Today, he leads product and marketing at Zentera Systems, focused on Zero Trust and AI agent security for enterprise and industrial customers.
Through Tipping Point Ventures, Mike has backed semiconductor and systems startups including Astera Labs, which went public in 2024, and nusemi, acquired by Cadence. He holds 15 U.S. patents and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biology from Caltech.
